- Leek American Flag of botanical family of Lilliacées is a leek of shape and classic color, with resplendent foliage. It is tender, of sweet and delicate flavor. This variety has large plants of 38-54 cm high with thick stems of 3 to 4 cm in diameter and 20 cm in length. The American Flag leek is easier to grow at altitudes above 1000 m. Sow seeds directly into the ground, to 1.5 cm in depth, with a distance of 3 cm, in separate rows of 45 cm. The harvest normally occurs 3-4 months after sowing. Leek American Flag has good resistance to all diseases.
